RMG CEO Discusses Online Backlash Monarchy Has Received After Queen Elizabeth’s Death

While many people are in mourning over the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, many people in the Black and Brown communities have taken her death as an opportunity to criticize the monarch’s role in slavery, colonialism and imperialism.

Smith said he is glad that people are learning more about history. But he also said that people should not celebrate the queen’s death even if they do not celebrate her life.
