Smith Appears on KTSU 90.9 FM

On Feb. 28, Regal Media Group CEO Todd A. Smith appeared on “A Closer Look” hosted by Krishunda Goodman, a radio talk show on KTSU 90.9 FM in Houston.

The show centered on the lack of diversity amongst Academy Awards voters and the stereotypes present in current Black television shows.

Smith stated that Hollywood misses out on many lucrative opportunities because of a lack of diversity amongst studio executives.

However, he stated that the controversy about stereotypical Black roles on TV is overblown because TV networks showcase a variety of personalities with the various television roles and all of them are true to a diverse Black America.
