Smith Discusses Journalists’ Safety on ‘Isiah Factor Uncensored’

On June 28, RMG CEO Todd A. Smith appeared live on “Isiah Factor Uncensored” to discuss the safety of journalists after five lost their lives as a result of a mass shooting at The Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Md.

Smith said to ensure his safety, he tries to conduct as many telephone and email interviews as possible, which is a luxury broadcast journalists are not afforded.

He advised the viewers and readers of particular media outlets and politicians that the job of journalists is to tell the truth and get the story, not write nice and friendly stories about them.

The multi-media personality also stressed the importance of journalists in maintaining democracy.

Journalists were responsible for breaking such political stories as the Watergate scandal involving former President Richard M. Nixon in 1974.

The “Isiah Factor Uncensored” airs weekday night at 10:30 P.M. on Fox 26 in Houston.
