Smith Discusses Katy ISD Banning Author, Books Because of CRT on ‘Factor’

Recently, Katy Independent School District (ISD) banned a children’s book author from speaking to students, as well as removing his books from libraries, because approximately 400 parents alleged that his books teach critical race theory (CRT).

Smith said that only a small number of parents protested, and that it is necessary for children to talk about racial unity to offset the prejudices that are taught in some homes.
