Todd A. Smith Co-Moderates Houston Mayoral Debate

On Friday, Sept. 25 Regal Media Group CEO and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. member Todd A. Smith co-moderated the D9 Houston Mayoral Forum at Trinity East United Methodist Church. Houston Chronicle reporter and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. member Cindy George served as the other co-moderator.

The D9 Houston Mayoral Forum focused on inclusion with questions ranging from fair housing practices, preserving historic neighborhoods like Freedmen’s Town and the controversy surrounding the promised Houston Community College Campus in the North Forest area.

Mayoral candidates Chris Bell, Adrian Garcia, Ben Hall, Marty McVey and Sylvester Turner participated in the forum.

D9 (Divine Nine) is comprised of the nine predominately Black fraternities and sororities: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.
