Journalist Discusses La. Gov. Threatening to Strip LSU Women’s Scholarships for Not Being on Court During Anthem on ‘Isiah’

On April 3, journalist Todd A. Smith of RegalMag.com appeared on “Isiah Factor Uncensored” to discuss Gov. Jeff Landry (R-La.) threatening to strip LSU women’s basketball players of their scholarships for remaining in the locker room during the national anthem before the Iowa Elite Eight game.

Smith said in this day of player empowerment and NIL deals, many college athletes like Angel Reese are already rich. Therefore, losing their scholarships would be a loss to LSU, not the individual players.
